About CardGap

CardGap is a Pokemon TCG market-data terminal tracking 11,216 cards across four marketplaces with daily-updated prices, JP↔EN arbitrage ratios, PSA grading ROI estimates, and country-exclusive card coverage.

Methodology

Data sources
Pokemon TCG API (TCGPlayer USD), Mercari (JP retail), Yahoo Japan Auctions (JP secondary), Card Rush (JP buyout). 4-source aggregate when available; minimum 1 source per card.
Cardgap median
Median of the most recent 20 transactions per marketplace, ±3σ outlier filter applied, then median across marketplaces (USD ÷ FX for international sources).
Cardgap Estimate
Fair-value estimate with low / high confidence band derived from cross-source variance. Wider band ⇒ less consensus ⇒ lower confidence.
Cardgap Trust Score
A/B/C/D grade combining volume, volatility, and source agreement. Detects wash-trade and pump signals where a single source diverges sharply from the rest.
Update cadence
Every 24h for prices and surge ratios. Last update: 2026-05-02. PSA population: weekly. Sets/illustrators: as TCG database is updated.
